ABOUT ME

I am a qualified psychosexual therapist and counsellor having achieved a post graduate diploma in psychosexual therapy from the University of Central Lancashire. I am a member of COSRT (The College of Sex and Relationship Therapists) and adhere to their code of conduct and ethical framework. I am also CRB checked and fully insured.

I achieved my counselling qualification from Liverpool Community College, and this, coupled with experience volunteering for Rape Crisis and Childline has allowed me to develop a high level of communication skills and interpersonal skills in dealing with very emotive situations in a sensitive manner. 

My training included experience working as a psychosexual therapy student within Abacus Sexual Health (an NHS provision within Liverpool City Centre) and this afforded me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients and wide spectrum of psychosexual problems. I also gained experience working as part of the Trans Support Service (TSS), supporting clients with Gender Dysphoria.

As well as being a psychosexual therapist, I am also a qualified radiotherapist and have over 15 years’ experience treating people with a broad range of cancers. I am a highly skilled and passionate allied health professional with specialist interest and additional training in breast cancer, spinal metastasis and the psychosexual effects of cancer.

In my personal life, I can fully empathise with my psychosexual therapy clients, having had my own relationship and intimacy challenges in the past. Now I am a SMBC (solo mum by choice) to my gorgeous little boy, and I juggle mum life with working part-time for the NHS and part-time psychosexual therapy and counselling work. I enjoy days out with my son visiting the farm, parks, soft play etc and I love to sit down with a cup of tea and chill in front of the TV after a day of fun. I used to be in a Brazilian drumming band in Liverpool and I hope to join them again in the future, when my little boy is older. I have a keen interest in holistic therapies and have also completed training in massage, aromatherapy, reiki and breathwork. I live in North Liverpool/ Sefton area where I grew up and remain close to all my family, I love Liverpool and feel so blessed to live in an area with such an amazing community spirit and kindness, with gorgeous beaches on our doorstep and a rich history.
